Overview

Mongolia’s unique beauty promises breathtaking sights at every turn, with rugged mountains, sparkling lakes, and lush plains. Not only is the scenery picture-perfect, the animals are extremely photogenic too!

Northern Mongolia (7 days) Visit to a Orkhon Waterfall, Tsenkher Hot Spring, and Beautiful Khar Lake. Visit nomadic horseman family and sample their home made dairy products.

Western Mongolia (7 days) Altai Tavan Bogd National Park is the most stunning view of landscape and is a great place for hiking and exploring through the beautiful scenery on land to explore the flora and fauna. Plus here you will meet Eagle Hunter and explore their lifestyle.

Itinerary

Day-1.Amarbayasgalant Monastery

At the end of the day visit to “Amarbayasgalant” monastery and enjoy the other nice monuments. It is ever beautiful and hidden jewel known as Amarbayasgalant monastery which is situated in the Iven river valley. The monastery was established in 1727-1736 in memory of Undur Gegeen Zanabazar at the order of the Manchurian emperor. Overnight in Ger camp ( L D )

Day-2.Uran togoo volcanic crater

Our destination for today is Uran togoo. Its about 60 kilometer directly west of Bulgan city is the extinct volcano of Uran Uul and nearby Togoo Uul, now part of the 1600 hectare Uran Togoo-Tulga Uul natural reserve in the village of Khutag-Ondor. Trial to the top of the relatively unimpressive volcano lead up from the west side, which also have some nice camping areas. The Uran Togoo-Tulga Uul national monument is a national protected area in the Bulgan province. This mountain ranks as 4th highest mountain and its protected in 1965. In 1995, it was designated as a monument by Parliament Resolution with an area of 5800 hectares. Overnight in Ger camp ( B L D )

Day-3.Khovsgol lake

Early in the morning we will drive to great Khovsgol lake. The lake is the second fresh water lake in Asia and second large lake in Mongolia with its 136 km long and 36 km wide and 264 meter deep. Overnight in Ger camp ( B L D )

Day-4.Second day at the Khovsgol lake

Taking rest and do some activities including boating and trekking up to mountain. Do horse riding around the Lake. Overnight in Ger camp ( B L D )

Day-5.Terkh White Lake

After breakfast we will drive to White lake(Terkh). The lake was formed by lava flows from a volcanic eruption many millennia ago. This is 2060m a.s.l, 16 km long, 4-10 km wide, 20 m deep fresh water lake . Overnight in Ger camp ( B L D )

Day-6.Khorgo Volcanic Crater

This day is no driving and bit relaxing day. Hike or horse trekking to the Khorgo volcano. It is the last volcano which extinct around 9000 years ago. 2240m high a.s.l. Swimming and fishing is possible for the personal interest. Overnight in Ger ( B L D )

Day-7.Ulaagchyn Khar Lake

Continue our driving to Khar Lake /Black Lake/ - another wonder of natural beauty which occupies 40 sq.km area surrounded by magic sand hills. You will be impressed by the natural site: different kinds of landscape are harmonised into one natural scenery: sand hills, mountains, green forest and several lakes and rivers. Overnight in Ger camp ( B L D )

Day-8.Visit to Urgamal Village via Mukhart River and Senjit Rocky Formation image

Further from the lake we enter the mountainous area of Khangai Nuruu mountain range and cross Solongot mountain where we see ""Hanging Rock"" or Senjit Khad. It looks like an Entrance of the Heaven. And we will continue to go to Mukhart River, comes under Sand Dune. After that we will go the Urgamal Village. Overnight in ( B L D )

Day-9.Khyargas Lake

Today’s destination is Khyargas lake. It is one of the largest lakes of Mongolia, lies about 100 km south of lake Uvs in the territory of the Deprission of Great Lakes. The Zavkhan river feeds Airag Lake, which is further connected to Hyargas lake that has not outlet. The salt water lake, stretching from west to east, is 75 km long and 31 km wide. Several of fish including the rare Mongolian grayling lives in Khyargas Lake. Overnight in tourist camp ( B L D )

Day-10.Drive to Olgii city, Bayan-Olgii province via Achit Lake

Start our journey to Bayan-Olgii, the only Muslim and Kazakh-majority aimag in all of Mongolia. Upon arrival, you will be transfer to your accommodation. Then we will visit local bazaars and museum for a taste of Kazakh’s culture. Overnight in local hotel ( B L D )

Day-11.First Day of Golden Eagle Festival

Meet the Kazakh Eagle hunters. Eagles can be athletes too. The rodeo of eagle hunters. A fantastic opportunity for photographers and adventurers to see these magnificent birds of prey up close. There are approx. 200 eagle hunters in Bayan-Ulgii province. Almost all of them will gather together to test their finely trained birds in singular contests of speed and agility. Day-12.Second Day of Golden Eagle Festival

During the festival, we also see some Kazakh Traditional Horse Games like “Bush Kushi"" (fight for the goat skin on horseback), Try to ""Kiss woman on horseback"" while lady is beating the man with horse whip, ""Pick up flowers from the land on horseback"" etc. In the evening we enjoy the Kazakh Concert with some traditional songs and music. Day-13.Visit to Kazakh Nomad family which is close to Sacred Shiveet Khairhan Mountain

Drive to Shiveet Khairkhan Mountain. Investigate the intricate petroglyphs in the area near Shiveet Khairkhan Mountain, also known as the sacred mountain Overnight in a Kazakh Family near Shiveet Khairkhan Mountain area Overnight in ( B L D )

Day-14.Altai Tavan Bogd horse trek and Potanian's Glacier

Take a horseback trek to the Altai Tavan Bogd referring to the peak “Huiten '', the highest- 4374m. Enjoy this stunning setting with the awe-inspiring massif snow capped peaks. You will reach out the 30km long enormous Potanin’s glacier, 2 million years old, an ancient ice river that was discovered in the 19th century by explorer Potanin. Back to camp and overnight in Kazakh Family House. Overnight in ( B L D )

Day-15.Experience the Kazakh People's life and

Taking a rest and experiencing nomad life with Kazakhs. Help them to bringing and milking livestocks — and we might discover a natural nomadic herder among us! Back to camp and overnight in Kazakh Family House. Overnight in ( B L D )

Day-16.Picturesque Travel to Khurgan and Khoton Lake via Milky River

The lakes are situated in the heart of Altai mountains, near the borders between China and Mongolia. Even though the Lakes are super isolated from any human civilization, many Nomadic Kazakh families still spend their summer here. Along the lakes, we see the beautiful waterfall, rock paintings, and some ancient Turkic stone figures of humans. On the right side of the lake, we see the snow capped mountains with forests, standing like a wall between China and Mongolia. Overnight in tent ( B L D )

Day-17.Way back to Olgii city, Bayan-Olgii province

Upon arrival, you will be transfer to your accomodation and have hot shower after those adventurous days. Then we will visit local bazaars and museum for a taste of Kazakh’s culture. Overnight in local hotel ( B L D )

Day-18.Fly back to Ulaanbaatar and Celebrate The End Of An Adventure

Early in the morning, you will be escorted at the airport, then return to Ulaanbaatar. After visit there, we have take a rest at the hotel for hours, and then do some shopping in State department store and Cashmere house for souvenirs and products. In the evening, we will attend amazing performance of Mongolian traditional music and dance. Overnight in hotel ( B L D )
