Highlights of Central Mongolia tour ( 9day/8nights )

What to expect
Meet Local People and Experience Life As A Nomad "Of course, the highlight of our trip is meeting the local people and their friendly livestocks. Rise bright and early for a full day with nomads! For centuries, Nomadic tradition have survived off the land, relying on their livestocks for transport, milk, cheese, meat, and even materials like dung for fuel, antlers for tools, and hair for clothes. The nomad herders are extremely hospitable and enthusiastic about sharing their way of life. Riding and milking livestocks are must-try activities — and we might discover a natural nomadic herder among us! " Discovering wild nature all along the way Mongolia is perhaps best known for its steppes, or endless expanses of grasslands. These prairie regions are characterized by their lack of trees. Be Awed By The Great Khaan's Statue and See Mysterious Runes From Mongolian Old Capital The tour will take you through some of Mongolia’s history, with visits to historic spots as the Erdenezuu monastery, Old Capital Kharkhorin and Chingiss Khaan's Statue Ride A Horse Across Epic Landscapes We’ve partnered with local herders for access to authentic local experiences, including nomadic home-stays and horse-riding through Orkhon Valley and Beautiful Navel Eight Lakes. Overview

Mongolia is one of the most interesting and unexplored places on the planet. As the world’s least densely populated country, Mongolia’s untouched landscapes and nomadic culture make it an adventure destination like no other. Located in Northern Asia with China and Russia at its borders, Mongolia has only recently moved past its status as a Soviet-influenced Communist country. Wandering through the districts, you’ll notice an interesting mix of Asian and European influences, from Soviet architecture in the capital to the Buddhist-influenced traditions widely practised. Away from the capital, you’ll understand why the locals lovingly call their country the “land of the eternal blue sky”. Mongolia’s unique beauty promises breathtaking sights at every turn, with rugged mountains, sparkling lakes, and lush plains. Not only is the scenery picture-perfect, the animals are extremely photogenic too!

Itinerary
Day-1.See Mysterious Runes From Mongolian Old Capital Kharkhorin and Visit Erdenezuu Monastery
It’s another day of scenic travel before resting in a ger next to an ancient monastery and old capital. One of the largest Buddhist monastic centres in Mongolia, the Monastery of Erdenezuu is a truly spectacular sight, with Chinese, Mongolian, and Tibetan-influenced architecture. The grounds sit in the middle of vast plains, with great views of the Mongolian steppes and the Orkhon Valley. At almost 450-years-old, the monastery is also a historically-important landmark — it’s one of the rare monasteries that avoided complete destruction by the Soviets during the 1937 Stalinist purges. Overnight in Ger camp ( L D )
Day-2.Orkhon Waterfall
Today we will travel to across vast grassy plains, interspersed with basalt rocks and meandered rivers. Our slow progress on the damaged track leaves us plenty of time to observe the different scenes of nomadic life. Orkhon Valley recognized as a “Cultural Landscape” of the UNESCO World Heritage in 2004. Orkhon waterfall was formed by volcanic eruption and earthquakes some 20000 years ago. The Waterfall cascades down from a height 27 meters. Once we come, we will check in and have lunch. Take an excursion to the waterfall and explore around the nature. In the evening, we will enjoy visiting the local nomad family to experience firsthand how people live in the country side and a lifestyle which has not changed for centuries. Overnight in Ger camp ( B L D )

Naiman Nuur (Eight Lake) National Park is located in the province of Ovorkhangai, in the Khangai range, and it has the typical landscapes of the Mongolian high mountains with their large forests of larches. The area of Naiman Nuur, “Eight lakes”, formed behind the volcanic eruptions that occurred all along the centuries. The park is 2400 metres (1,5 mile) above the sea level. An area of 11.500 hectares has been protected as a National Park since 1992. The lakes are located about 35 kilometres (22 miles) Southeast Orkhon waterfalls, but the track is impassable. This way is accessible only to hikers and horsemen/women who will enjoy an exceptional nature, whereas the jeeps will have to skirt round the mountains by Bat Ulzii (130 kilometres, 81 miles), or even by the track to Khujirt (260 kilometres, 162 miles) in case of heavy rain.
