• Camel Festival Tour

Travel to the Gobi Desert to attend the “Thousand Camel Festival”, organized by a local non-governmental organization working to protect and preserve the Bactrian Camel population, which has been steadily declining over the past 15 years. This magnificent festival allows travelers a rare opportunity to interact with and learn first-hand about these amazing animals and the camel herders, nomadic lifestyle. Highlights of the festival includes camel races, camel polo, nice couple competitions and other amazing competitions. It usually happens on March.

Day 1 Terelj National Park

After breakfast we  will drive to Terelj National Park and Chinggis statue. Will do horse riding here. It is about 80 km north-east of UB, is a deservedly popular destination. At 1600 meter, the area is cool and alpine scenery is magnificent, and there are great opportunities for hiking, climbing and do horse riding. The park is over 102 million hectares large. The landscape is looking a little bit like the Alps. It is a national park that is started to develop in the 1960s and officially was classified as a national park in 1994. It is almost uninhabited by humans only by a few nomads and farmers. Overnight in a Ger

Day 2 Baga Gazriin Chuluu – Small Rock Formation

Our destination for today Bagagazriinchuluu /rock formation/ is a 15 km long and 10 km wide stone massif, is located Middle Gobi. Over 20 kinds of medical herbs and many species of animals such as wild sheep, ibex and marmot exist here, if you have chance you might the wild animals. Surtiinam is one of many beautiful places in Bagagazriin stone massif. This is a narrow canyon with asp, birch, white whicker and elm tree, as well the ruin of a stone temple and the site of 2 yurts where monks lived and meditated since the seventieth century.  Overnight in a Ger camp 

Day 3 Tsagaan suvraga – White stupa

Early morning we will start drive to  WhiteStupa which is located in UlziitSoum, MIddle Gobi. The name TsagaanSuvarga (White Stupa) is given by local people to the impressive and legendary cliff which is eroded by natural phenomen on. Having 10 million years history, the cliff indicates different times by its colored layers. TsagaanSuvarga is interesting to see the sheer slope, facing east, which from a distance seems to be the ruins of the ancient city. Enjoy hiking around colorful Stupa, feeling like meditation in there. Overnight in a Ger camp 

Day 4 Yol valley – Gobi Three Beauty National Park

After breakfast we will start drive to the “Gobi Three Beauties” National Park and will hike to the narrow ice canyon. It is called Yoliin am (Volture’smounth) by the locals is one of the main attractions in the Gobi for its stunning vistas. This area is a home to endangered snow-leopards and Lammergeyers(Bearded Vulture) where “eternal ice” usually remains throughout summer. There you guys might see some wild animals.  Overnight in a Ger camp 

Day 5 Khongor sand dune

After breakfast we will drive to KhongoriinEls which is called the “Singing Dune” for the sound of the wind howling through the dunes. Its over 180 km long, 3-5 km wide, lowest point 10m high, highest point is 200-300 m high from the earth. Its around 1530-1600 meter a.s.l. This is one of the largest and most spectacular sand dunes and a cold water spring with a river that leads to two small ponds. We will ride a Camel around the dune and will climb to the top of the Singing dune in the evening to see the Great Sunset. Overnight in a Ger camp 

Day 6, 7 Bayan Zag – Flaming Cliff – Camel Festival

Today we will drive to the homeland of Dinosour Fossils to explore it. This is Neolithic site where the large dinosaurs' skeletons on show in Ulaanbaatar Natural History Museum were found. In the west, it is better known as the Flaming Cliffs so named explorer Roy Chapman Andrews. He also discovered petrified forests remain of mammals and in particular the skeleton of hornless rhinoceros, the largest known mammal in the world. Overnight in a Ger camp.

Day 8 Ongi Temple

After breakfast we will drive to Ongi and visit to the ruins of the temple.Ongi temple is a ruin of a big monastery on the bank of Ongi River. The river is about 500 kilometer long takes beginning from Khangai Mountain Range flows into UlaanNuur. This monastery has 28 temples and other buildings on the south slope of the Rocky Mountain like Balsa country and stupas which are not broken. This monastery had 1000 lamas and it was destroyed during the Stalinist purges in 1930s. Overnight in a Ger camp

Day 9 Kharkhorin – Erdene Zuu Monastery

Early morning we will start drive to Kharkhorin ancient capital city and will visit to the ErdeneZuu Monastery. It’s a ancient capital city called kharkhorin where developed Kharakhorum capital of Great Mongolian Empire in 13th century. Explore ErdeneZuu Monastery Musuem. It is a biggest Buddhist center in medieval ages and it was closed and badly damaged in 1930s. Visit to some other sightseeing. Overnight in a Ger camp 

Day 10 Back to UB

Today we will head to UB city. We will have a lunch on the way
